Columbus High School provides students with a strong liberal arts education with courses in fine arts, languages, mathematics, sciences, and more. The liberal arts magnet school offers nearly two dozen Advanced Placement courses. 100 percent of the school’s students are enrolled in AP classes.
Columbus High School allows students to develop strong critical-thinking skills and explore life skills, technology, and athletics.
Beyond standard academics, students must complete 20 hours of volunteer work. Seniors must learn a new activity with the help of a mentor, spend 100 hours on the activity and document the process in a portfolio.
Students can choose from a number of athletic teams, clubs, and organizations.
Economically disadvantaged students make up 20 percent of the student body at Columbus High School.
